At Kelbourne Woolens we are always trying to find new ways to support our stockists. Local yarn shops are the lifeline of the yarn industry. They are the community builders; churning out new knitters, fostering new designers, and helping people with problems - from dropped stitches to relationship advice! The online knitting community is vibrant and vital, but we wouldn’t be anywhere without our local yarn shops. We are offering this pattern exclusively to participating Local Yarn Shops.
Ask for the Galway scarf and Knightsbridge yarn at one of these fine local yarn shops:
DESIGNER: Courtney Kelley
YARN: The Fibre Company Knightsbridge (65% baby llama, 25% merino, 10% silk): bleu tarn, 2 skeins.
GAUGE: 27 sts + 32 rows = 4” (10 cm) in cable pattern, after blocking.
NEEDLES: 1 pair US 5 (3.75 mm) straights.
NOTIONS: Stitch markers, tapestry needle, crochet hook.
SIZE: 5.75” (14.75 cm) width, 30” (76.25 cm) length (not including fringe).
SKILLS: Basic cables from charts, mattress stitch.
Shops may use the pattern to knit a shop sample, teach a class, or hand out free to customers with the purchase of yarn.
