KW Tips + Tricks: Knitted Cast On

KNITTED CAST ON

A knitted cast on provides a sturdy edging, and is easy to work as well! Use a knitted cast on when you need to cast on stitches during the course of your project, such as casting on thumb stitches for a mitten.

We use the knitted cast on in the Viva shawl, part of the Arranmore Light Pop Collection, to cast on stitches used to work the picot edging.
