Echo Lake is worked in pieces and then seamed together. The neck band is picked up after seaming and worked in the round. While the pattern calls for straight needles, if you prefer, the pieces can be knit working back and forth on circular needles.

YARN: The Fibre Co. Acadia (60% merino wool, 20% baby alpaca, 20% silk; 145 yds/50 gm skein): sand, 7 (8, 8, 9, 10, 11) skeins.
GAUGE: 20 sts and 28 rows = 4” (10 cm) in St st on larger needles, after blocking.
NEEDLES: 1 - US 4 (3.5 mm) 16” (40 cm) circular and pair straights. 1 - US 6 (4 mm) straights.
NOTIONS: Darning needle.
SIZE: 36 (39, 44, 49, 52, 57)” [91.5 (99, 112, 124.5, 132, 145) cm] finished bust. Sweater is designed to be worn with 4-5” (10-12.75 cm) positive ease. 
SKILLS: Knitting, purling, decreasing, picking up stitches.
