Kelso is a cotton and linen blend tank top, knit in pieces from the bottom up. The front of this sleeveless sweater features a simple decorative eyelet panel and the shoulders at the front and back are shaped with increases and then short rows are worked for a nice fit. This is a fun knitting project for a beginner who is ready to learn new skills, like simple eyelet lace and knitted short rows.
After blocking, the shoulders are joined with a three needle bind off and the sides are seamed using mattress stitch. Stitches are picked up to work the armholes and neck in a one-by-one ribbing.

GAUGE

20 sts + 28 rows = 4" in St st on larger ndls, after blocking.

1 - 36" (90 cm) US 3 (3 mm) circular.

1 - 36" (90 cm) US 5 (3.75 mm) circular.

Check your gauge and adjust needle size(s) accordingly if necessary.

Locking stitch markers, darning needle.

34 (38, 42, 46, 50, 54, 58)" 86.5, 96.5, 107, 117, 127, 137, 147.5) cm bust. Sweater is designed to be worn with 2" (5 cm) of positive ease. Please see schematic for more detailed finished measurements.
