Armed with a few skeins of , the set-up charts for the Springtime in Philadelphia beret and a plane flight to CA for TNNA in January, Kate started playing around with the idea of converting the circular beret into a triangle.
The combination of modern yarn that is butter soft but has a slightly rustic look due to the textural silk slubs, a traditionally inspired triangular shawl on large needles in a heavier weight yarn and gorgeous color creates a scarf that is perfect for the unpredictability of the changing seasons.
The Springtime Bandit is knit at a gauge just slightly looser than recommended for to give it drape and an airy feel. And even though it is squarely in the scarf category for size, the end result is airy and light.
