Dreaming of Spring: Brights

Last week, I was taken with the beauty of winter and inspired to put together a little collection of Polyvore sets that celebrated our perfect cold-weather accessory yarn, Road to China Light.

This past week, though, we were teased with a few warm, sunny days, promising that sometime, soon, spring will come, and I was inspired to create a few sets that infused some happy mood-lifting brights into my wardrobe.

1. Alice by Antonia Shankland. A perennial Fibre Company favorite featured, Volume 1, Alice is a versatile accessory designed using Road to China Light. (But it would be equally beautiful in Canopy Fingering or Meadow). Dressed up with a cute patterned skirt and lace tee and paired with season-transitioning musts, tights and a jean jacket, you'll be sure to be warm and cherry at all times.

2. Amaranth featuring Organik. I designed Amaranth with seasonal transitions in mind - the bright color, subtle lace motif and slight slouch are perfect for accessorizing and keeping warm during unpredictable weather. Worn with bright yellow corduroys, a classic chambray, striped cardigan and infinity cowl, and accessorized with a fabulous patterned bag and booties, you're sure to be set for a lovely weekend date or walk through the city!

3. Aqueous by Jennifer Dassau, knit out of Canopy Fingering in Tanager, is a lovely little springtime cardi-tee that features a vertical lace pattern and garter stitch bands and hems. Channeling a springtime vacation, I paired the tee with comfortable jeans, a brightly patterned scarf, suede loafers, a leather tote and hoop earrings. Even if you're not on vacation, wearing this beautiful cardigan will make you feel like you are!

4. Unruly by Linda Wilgus (previously blogged here), is a lovely striped shawl featuring three colors of Canopy Fingering. The simple design paired with the Canopy Fingering color palette lends itself well to a wide variety of options, from subtle to wild! Styled with a cute tank, flowy skirt and sporty accessories, the scarf is the perfect anecdote to dreary late-winter days.

Feeling brighter? I hope so!
